" Hello dear meditators, Our last 2020 meditation on Tuesday 8/12 in the yurt turned into a very special night .
We sat in the yurt to celebrate the anniversary of the Buddha's awakening - an almost magical synchronicity with another special event happening outside at 7.30pm with the once-a-year blooming of the Queen of the night (Epiphyllum spp) flower hidden in the exquisite gardens of Temple Byron - alas , caught on video by Mona as per the link attached.
Thanks to Paul and Mona for sharing and holding this sacred space for our community .
Namaste and Jai Gurudev !
Ps. Legend has it that the Queen of the night flower was punished by a God and could only bloom for one moment of the year. In order to meet her beloved who would collect the morning dew for the Buddha she could choose the moment . So a years worth of charm was put into her blooming on that one moment ... hoping her beloved would notice !
